Aled Jones is in Eryri, also known as Snowdonia, to discover a historic church brought back to life, and to celebrate the Welsh language and the great outdoors. The church has been lovingly resurrected by its local community as a way of bringing people together. The site was once home to an older church, where a young William Morgan worshipped in the 16th century. Bishop William Morgan is famous for translating the Bible into Welsh for the first time at the behest of Queen Elizabeth I. His work impacted faith in Wales, helped standardise and preserve the Welsh language and encouraged people to read and write. Aled meets Cass Meurig, a Welsh faith folk singer, who shares her dramatic testimony and reflects on how faith and music intertwine. She is one of the few people in the world who plays a medieval Welsh musical instrument called a crwth. As well as giving Aled a rendition on the instrument, Cass performs one of her own compositions, accompanied by her sons. Aled also visits a family-owned Christian outdoor pursuits centre and goes rock-climbing under the watchful eye of Jake, one of the instructors, who shares how the landscape inspires his faith. With uplifting hymns and songs from across Wales: 1. I Will Sing the Wondrous Story - St Asaph Cathedral 2. Tydi A Wnaeth Y Wyrth - Eglwys Sant Tudclud, Penmachno 3. Trees - Sir Bryn Terfel 4. Taith - Cass Meurig at Eglwys Sant Tudclud, Penmachno 5. Over the Mountains and the Seas - Sound of Wales 6. God Is Love, Let Heaven Adore Him - Eglwys Sant Tudclud, Penmachno
